What can a face lift do?
The most common type of face lift is performed to raise and tighten sagging skin from the cheekbones downwards. When done properly it should cure a saggy neck, sagging jowls and improve the appearance of your jawline and a Deep Plane face lift will also deal with flattened cheekbones and nose to mouth depressions while a Mid Face lift is designed to deal with these alone. Although the type of skin you have and your age will affect the ultimate result a facelift should improve wrinkles and sagging.

A cut is made behind and around each ear then the skin is lifted up and any surplus facial fat is taken away then small stitches are used for lifting and tightening muscle tone and your other facial tissues. Next the excess skin is removed.
Surgery takes up to 4 hours depending on exactly what needs doing, and facelifts can be either outpatient proceedures or might require a short hospital stay for recovery. Most of the swelling and discomfort should be gone after a couple of weeks.
